Delivered by Lean expert Drew Locher, this course will help delegates understand how a VMS should be actively used to ‘manage’ – to control the activities performed in an area, to be used to make decisions and trigger action. Most importantly you will learn how VMS can be used to drive continuous improvement through engagement.

Drew first became involved in the development and delivery of innovative business improvement programmes while working for General Electric (GE) in the 1980s. Since leaving GE in 1990 he helped the National Institute of Standards and Technologies’ Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) develop a Lean University.
Since 2001, he has been a faculty member of the Lean Enterprise Institute (LEI), the not-for-profit organisation of Jim Womack, the co-author of Lean Thinking. He is a frequent speaker at conferences in the U.S. and abroad on the subject of Lean Enterprise Principles and Enterprise Excellence.
